OUR ROOTS

The Ascent (ASCESA in Italian) in climbing is synonymous with challenge, sacrifice, and the desire to reach the summit. Not always, only when the mountain allows it. With this spirit, Fabrizio Testa, winemaker and guide of the Ascesa project since the first harvest in 2018, approaches every bunch that ripens on the terraces of Valtellina; mountain vines that know how to give endless nuances to our Nebbiolo delle Alpi.

Rosso di valtellina doc

The Rosso di Valtellina, vinified in stainless steel, is a blend of grapes grown at different altitudes and exposures, to obtain a fresh, eclectic Nebbiolo to enjoy every day, the flagship of our philosophy

VALTELLINA SUPERIORE RISERVA DOCG MURUNE’E

With Murunèe, the first Reserve of our winery, the vineyards reach nearly 700 meters in altitude. This is an essential characteristic for producing a Reserve with acidity, tannin and length of an old champion.

Valtellina superiore docg

In our Valtellina Superiore, the grapes come from vineyards located at an average altitude of about 500 meters. It is characterised by a 12-month refinement in wood, using old barrels, to maintain high drinkability and a not excessive structure.

VALTELLINA SUPERIORE SASSELLA RISERVA SCIALESC

Scialèsc comes from a single vineyard in the Sassella subzone at around 400 meters in altitude. A Reserve characterized by the softness and silkiness of the tannins, so elegant that they can be appreciated right away.

Valtellina

Valtellina is a valley in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, bordering Switzerland.

The cultivation of vines in Valtellina has very ancient origins, which date back to the first inhabitants of the Valley in pre-Roman times, who already began to terrace the steep slopes of the Rhaetian Alps; the vineyards, facing south, are in an optimal area for the cultivation of the vine.

Valtellina is the largest terraced mountain area in Italy, Nebbiolo is grown from 350 to 800 m asl. and the soils are mainly sandy.
